Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall

Built on a staggering 1.2 million square feet, the Mahkota Parade Shopping Mall is one of the largest shopping centers available in Melaka. The complex is a large brownish-red building that has several levels and is met at one end with the ritzy Hotel Equatorial.  From day one, the gigantic Mahkota has captured the imagination of Melaka shoppers.  Its construction has redefined Melaka, branding it as one of the most “modern” cities in Malaysia. Parkson Grand, the local anchor chain of a large departmental store business, attracts shoppers from all strata of Melakan society because it provides goods alongside other stores within the mall.  These include a center full of souvenirs and handicrafts, a large supermarket, a food court, a cinema, a bowling alley, amusement arcades, assorted cafés and various restaurants for people with different tastes.
Tips for Travelers
The shopping mall represents the latest and best of both east and west. From Guardian Pharmacy, Pizza Hut, and Kentucky Fried Chicken, to The Coffee Bean and Starbucks Coffee, you’ll find everything that you need in the gigantic world of products and services.  The shopping mall brings the world to Melaka!  It doesn’t boast anything typically Melakan or Malaysian, but you should visit it if you have time and are looking for some shopping opportunities.
